23 October — demo patch #2

The second demo patch is mostly fixes, but two changes matter for players: group neighborhood travel no longer repeatedly fails or returns players to the login screen, and newly available neighborhood space is detected after the last player leaves. Pebble’s City Tour can now resume after an interruption or disconnect, and quest progress after reconnecting is less likely to conflict.

Decorating fixes cover furniture being blocked by the floor inside the house, Decorate Mode failing to open outside the house, large default trees becoming unplaceable after being picked up, and missing weather icons or incorrect solar panel information on some home islands.

The patch also removed plantable Garden Beds from Loftia City, with the note that they may return with clearer information about their shared, public nature. That is a demo world change, not a promise about player-owned beds.

21 October — demo patch #1

The first demo patch clarified where to find Scrambled Coordinates for Ryder’s quest and increased their drop chance during that quest step. It also fixed item fragments staying uncombined after collecting enough pieces, and increased solar panel output in rain and at night, particularly when both happen.

The tool wheel tutorial now appears during the planting step and stays visible until you open the wheel — a response to players who could not find their carrot seeds. Controller rebinding while using a controller was fixed, and audio was rebalanced.

19 October — the free demo is live

The demo runs from 19 to 26 October 2026, during Steam Next Fest. It covers the opening Loftia City questline and ends just before the Hanging Gardens. Progress and character names carry into Early Access if you link your Loftia website account with the email you use in-game.

The demo allows one character per account. A claimed name is released if you do not log into Early Access between 3 November 2026 and 3 February 2027. The Demo Banner unlocks by entering the Player Neighborhood; inviting one friend awards the Pebble Chair, and two friends award the Pebble Couch.

20 September — release date and price

Loftia launches into Early Access on 3 November 2026 at 1pm EST on PC and Mac, via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The base price is $29.99 with a 17% launch discount to $24.89. The launch build supports 14 languages. The Switch version is planned for 2027.

16 September — pre-registration

Pre-registration opened on the Loftia website with two limited-time rewards for everyone who registers. The team also set a 500,000 Steam wishlist goal with a community reward. Pre-registration is an account and reward step; the news post does not describe it as a pre-order.

What we are watching next

  • 26 October: the demo window closes. We do not know whether it will return.
  • 3 November: Early Access launches. Beta values on this site become testable against the live build.
  • Post-launch cadence: no schedule is published. We will add dated posts only when they exist.
  • Price and system changes: re-check the official pages before treating any launch-day number as permanent.
How this page is maintained

We list official Steam News posts, not rumors or Discord screenshots. If a patch note is edited after publication, the page should be re-checked; the checked date at the bottom is the date of our last pass.
