Items, materials and Dew

Early materials, refined goods, quest items, collectibles and the storage caps that catch new players.

The short version

Dew is the currency, salvage is the early material supply, and Scrambled Coordinates are the Adventure key. The full item database is not published; this page covers the categories and the specific items we can source.

Dew: where it comes from, where it goes

Dew comes from selling crops, cooked food and refined bars through the shipping bin on your plot, plus Community Farm rewards. Shift+click moves a whole stack. Dew is spent on seeds from Hazel and permits from Amani. The beta economy is deliberately time-gated: crops and refining run on real-time timers, so the best money strategy is usually to start a batch and go do something else.

Beta values unless marked demo. These are reference points, not launch prices.

Quest items

Scrambled Coordinates are the clearest example. They are the item you need to start Adventures, each run costs 3, and Ryder’s introductory quest rewards 15. The community drop guide lists 13 known sources: 12 gathering or salvage nodes and the Daily Goodies Chest. The chest only supplies coordinates after Ryder’s intro quest, and it gives 3–5. Cella’s Key Shop sells them for 30 Dew each, but that shop is tied to “The Real Treasure” side quest.

Item fragments combine after you collect enough pieces; the 21 October patch fixed fragments staying uncombined. Bloom and Scrambled Coordinates from the Daily Goodies Chest unlock after Ryder’s intro Adventure quest. These are demo behaviours, not a complete quest-item list.

Collectibles and collections

Datapads are butterfly-marked lore collectibles tracked in Collections. Clothing fragments come from Community Farm rewards and other activities; beta outfit requirements include 10 fragments for the Meadow Blouse and 5 for the Meadow Shoes. The demo’s exclusive rewards are the Demo Banner, Pebble Chair (invite one friend) and Pebble Couch (invite two).

The 23 October patch removed placeholder rarity icons from some items. That is a good reminder that item rarity presentation is still in flux; we do not publish a rarity tier list.

Storage caps

One storage chest sorts everything into categories automatically. Items have caps — 20 Clay was an early example — and the Expanded Chest perk raises them. If you are hoarding salvage for a station upgrade, check the cap before you fill your inventory with a material you cannot store.

What is not published

  • A complete item database with stack sizes, rarity and sell values.
  • The full list of quest items and collectibles.
  • Whether item rarity affects crafting or only presentation.
  • Early Access prices for seeds, permits and shop cosmetics.

Sources and checks

Checked 2026-10-23. Factual claims are drawn from the sources below; demo and beta values are labelled because they may change at Early Access. Recommendations are ours.

Official feature and monetization facts; demo patch notes; beta material and value data labelled.

We do not publish a recipe, price, stat or mechanic without a source. If something is missing, it is marked unverified rather than guessed.
