What the free demo includes

The demo runs from 19 to 26 October 2026 during Steam Next Fest. It covers the opening Loftia City questline, introduces the NPCs, and ends just before the Hanging Gardens. Feature cards list farming, decorating, sharing, salvaging resources, Adventures and social play.

The demo caps proficiencies at Level 5. It includes the first World Project, Pebble’s Birthday Party. Rewards include the Demo Banner for entering the Player Neighborhood, the Pebble Chair for inviting one friend and the Pebble Couch for inviting two. You need to link your Loftia website account to claim and carry them over.

What Early Access adds

The Early Access build adds the Hanging Gardens and Gridfall districts, pets, hydroponics and community farming, fishing and research stations, proficiencies beyond Level 5, the Urbex tool, more Adventures and more World Projects. The official pages do not publish a complete feature list or a content-completeness percentage.

Monetization: what is cosmetic

Loftia is buy-to-play. The official FAQ says there is no subscription, optional microtransactions and a season pass are cosmetic-only, there are no plans for paid expansions, and new content is free for owners. The Early Access page calls the cosmetic reward track the Community Pass; buying it unlocks additional cosmetic rewards from World Projects, and the rewards do not expire. The page also says the game will not have gacha mechanics.

Two names, one cosmetic track

The FAQ calls it a “season pass”; the Early Access page calls it the “Community Pass.” We treat Community Pass as the current name and note the FAQ wording rather than pretending the two pages are identical.

Is the demo free?

Yes. The demo is a free Steam Next Fest build; you download it from the Loftia Steam page. The official pages do not state a price for the demo because there isn’t one. The demo ends on 26 October 2026 and the developers have not announced a return.

What is not confirmed

  • Post-launch price changes or a future base-price commitment.
  • Regional price amounts; the FAQ only says regional pricing is available.
  • The Community Pass price, season length or reward rotation.
  • Whether the demo returns after 26 October.
  • Whether launch-day discounts differ by platform.
